Looking into my first tractor purchase. Local Kubota dealder has a "special" on the Bx2200 with the 60" belly mower, and FEL, for $12,900, I'm also getting a 48" Woods bush hog, $900. Everything is brand new and '01 models. Prices sound reasonable? I checked out carver and they want $12,100 for same setup ($800 savings). It is worth going out of my way to have one shipped from NC to ME?Also, anyone know the actual weight of this tractor? Spec' is 1300lb for unit, 250lb for mower, ideas on loader? I have a Triton snowmobile trailer with a carring capacity of 1500lbs, wonder if I can take off the loader and mower and use the triton for short trips?

Suckow; Per my LA211 Owner's Manual, FEL net weight is 430 lbs. Per my BX Owner's Manual, towing capacity (maximum trailer load capacity) is 1,765 lbs for both the 1800 and 2200. The price sounds good to me. ....

I would not use the Triton sled trailer. The axles are rated to that weight, but the deck is made to haul sleds which spread the load out over a very wide area. I'd be afraid the small tires would go right through.

I am in the process of buying from Carver a Used 2000 B21 Loader / Backhoe with 260 hrs on it. The price was reasonable verse what I would pay for a new machine. The cost if I were to have it ship to New Hampshire would have been a little over $800. Luckly I have a friend who will be transporting cars down to Florida and on the return trip will pick up my B21 for very Low cost. The savings on frieght help me finally decide to go with Carver. Carver has also been very helpful in adding additional items I wanted such as a block heater and changing the rear AG tires back over to R4 tires. In your case the savings you will get buying from Carver will be used up in transport cost to Maine (may even cost you more). Carver will quote you the actual cost. ....

It was a tough choice but I ended up getting a Cub Cadet 7205 (20hp, hydrost, 4wd, power steering with it's own pump) with a 475 loader. Brand new, 0 hrs, it cost me $13,900. Seemed like a good deal. Bummer is that the BX2200 came with the belly mower but I'll probably just get a pull behind for the cub. The cub seems to be more comparable to the B2400 Kubota, which runs $16k new. The cub will be here in a few hours! Is being delivered by the dealer in Dixfield, ME. Will let you know how I like it after I play! ....

I just got a price on a BX2200 4WD with hydrostastic drive, bar
turf tires & a 60" mid-mount mower from M & L Industries in Baton
Rouge, La. After a little price haggling I managed to get a price
of $9,300.00. Haven't bought yet---still undecided.

Wow, that's a good deal on the Bx2200. I couldn't find it for less than $12k up here in Maine. My cub has been working out pretty good though, has 22hrs on it now.
